Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is a person-centred, evidenced-informed approach that aims to increase quality of life and reduce restrictions for people with disabilities.
Autism Abilities PBS Practitioners understand that all behaviour communicates something and when behaviours of concern happen this usually means that there are needs that are not being met.
Learn more about PBS by watching the video opposite courtesy of National Disability Services (https://www.nds.org.au/)
Autism Abilities has a team of experienced PBS Practitioners who specialise in working with autistic people.
NDIS Support Coordination is a service that is sometimes included in an NDIS plan.
Autism Abilities support coordinators & specialist support coordinators work closely with you, your family and your support team to help you figure out what you can and can't do with your NDIS plan and how to find the supports you need. We have coordinators based in Melbourne, Geelong, Bendigo and regional Victoria, who are all able to work remotely.
We love hearing from people - so don't hesitate to contact us with a question or to find out more about any of our services.
Please let us know how you'd like us to respond - by phone, email, or perhaps an online meeting.
English is a Second Language? No problem - we can easily arrange an interpreter - just let us know and we'll take care of it.

Autism Abilities acknowledges that people use different words to talk about Autism and that each person will have a way of talking about Autism and about themselves that they like best. Some people in the Autistic Community like to say ‘Autistic person’ (identity-first language), some like to say ‘person with Autism’ (person-first language), and some are fine with using either.
Autism Abilities uses identity-first language. This means we will usually say, Autistic person or Autistic people.
